HKUST 25A Series Panel Discussion on Challenges and Opportunities of China’s Growth, Including Hong Kong

The discussion session “Challenges and Opportunities of China’s Growth, Including Hong Kong” was part of the 25th anniversary conference in Beijing. Joining the discussion were Prof Roger King, Director of Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies, Prof Francis Lui, Director of Center for Economic Development, and Prof Leung Siu Fai, Head of Department of Economics of the HKUST Business School; and Professor Justin Lin, Director of the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University.

Preceding to the discussion panel was a keynote speech conducted by 2010 Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Christopher Pissarides on “the new role of China in the world economy”. The conference has attracted over 250 alumni and guests, as well as over 20 mainland news portal in Beijing on 24 September, 2016.

The conference that ended with a celebration dinner has attracted over 250 alumni and guests in Beijing. It is a series of year-round activities to celebrate HKUST 25th anniversary with its alumni and friends in major cities around the world, with the first inaugurated in London the previous year.
